About Long Row Lavender
Long Row Lavender is a family-owned lavender farm on South Stracks Church Road, just south of I-70 at Wright City, about an hour west of St. Louis. It is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, from mid-March to mid-December; in 2026 the season ran from March 7 to December 19. Admission is free, and leashed dogs can walk the grounds.
The farm plans its year around what is blooming: daffodils in April, peonies around Mother's Day in May, lavender through June, zinnias in September and Mexican sage from late September until frost. Munstead and Hidcote Blue open the first week of June, and Sensational and Phenomenal follow in the second and third weeks. U-pick dates are announced on their social pages. Harvest usually runs from the last week of June into early July, and bundles dry for about three weeks in the barn loft, which visitors are encouraged to see.
The café serves lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM, with coffee drinks and homemade pies, cupcakes and cookies, some touched with culinary lavender, all day. The shop sells bath, body, kitchen and home goods made on the farm. Workshops fill much of the calendar, from sourdough and cookie decorating to sketching and wreath making, and the farm hosts a Holiday Open House on November 6 and 7, 2026, and a Christmas market with about 20 artisans and live music on November 21, November 28 and December 5, 2026.
St. Charles is about 30 minutes east on I-70 if you want dinner on the way back to St. Louis.
