About Strawberry Hills Bombay
Strawberry Hills Bombay is a family-run strawberry farm that opened in 2022 on about 100 acres of valleys and gullies off Pinnacle Hill Road, roughly 10 minutes from Bombay. Strawberries grow in three patches on the hillside, and cows and calves often graze the slopes around them.
Picking works simply: collect a bucket at the shop, follow the signs to the open field, fill it, and pay on the way out, when your berries are tipped into a take-home bag. No booking is needed. In October 2026 their website listed $30 for a bucket filled to the brim and said the field was closed until the next season, expected around November. Listed hours in season are weekdays noon to 5pm and weekends 10am to 5pm, and the farm closes on rainy or very busy days to let the plants recover.
The tuck shop and food truck sell real fruit ice cream (kids' size from $5), smoothies, Belgian waffles and chocolate-dipped strawberry cups. Children have a helicopter-themed play area, and there are picnic tables with umbrellas in the garden. The waterfall walk takes about 10 minutes through a cattle paddock and over a rocky hill, so wear sturdy shoes. The farm is not yet set up for accessibility, though wheelchair users have reached the food truck and nearby tables over the gravel car park.
CCT Lavender Farm at Karaka is about 30 minutes northwest via State Highway 1. Its café opens Tuesday to Sunday, so a summer morning of berry picking can end with lunch among the lavender.
