Overview
Every plant you cut is still harvested through the game's own harvest, with the same rules and choices. The tool you hold only changes how many plants one pass cuts and how long each plant takes. Pick a tool you own in the 🧰 Harvest tool shed (press T), then press F to cut. Ride-on tools: press F to climb on and lower the cutting head, then drive along the row.

How each one works
- Pruners: cut one plant at a time, stem by stem. Slow, but the neatest bundles.
- Sickle: gather a handful of stems and sweep. How most small farms harvest.
- Hand trimmer: a battery hedge trimmer that cuts a whole plant's crown in one pass.
- Tea harvester: a curved blade with a catch bag, walked down the row. It cuts into its own catch bag. A crew member can take the other side.
- Small tractor: a compact tractor with a side-mounted cutter. It's parked by the barn after you buy it; walk up to it to climb on.
- Commercial harvester: a straddle harvester that cuts and bins whole rows at a walking pace. Its bulk bag holds about 300 bundles, and the crew swaps in an empty bag when it fills.
Buying
The shed at home shows each tool's price, level and where to buy it, and has a 🏘️ Drive to Market Square button. Tools 1 to 3 are bought with farm coins at Farm Equipment. Tools 4 to 6 are the game's own Enterprise machines: buying them at Farm Equipment buys the powered cutter, the side-mounted row harvester or a flower harvester through your Enterprise equipment list, so they are yours in 2D too. Owning a bigger machine also unlocks the smaller powered ones.
Tips
- Andrew's perk and the Harvester specialty make every harvest tool cut 20% faster.
- Carrying capacity matters as much as speed. See Carrying the Harvest.
