Harvest (Field Tool)

The Harvest tool cuts a lavender plant at bud or bloom (stage 4 or 5) and lets you choose what the harvest is for: fresh stems, drying stems, a culinary lot or a distillation crop.

🎮 Play it in the game

How to harvest

  1. Pick ✂️ Harvest and tap a plant at stage 4 or 5.
  2. Read the prediction (fresh stems, drying stems and flower units) and the plant's handling capacity.
  3. Choose a use. Uses outside their window are marked "outside window".

Distillation cropFlower units (lavandin goes in its own lot)9

Rules

  • The plant must be at stage 4 (bud) or 5 (bloom).
  • Each use has a cultivar-specific harvest window. Observed buds or blooms can open a window early; a plant that has not met its winter chilling need cannot be harvested for flowers.
  • Farm weather can pause field harvest.
  • Yield depends on the cultivar, the plant's health, the Harvest Tools upgrade (up to +15%) and woodiness (old, woody plants handle less).
  • Afterward the crown stays: the plant goes back to stage 2, loses 6 health (not below 35) and 8 moisture, and enters post-bloom.
  • Every harvest is a traceable lot in your barn.

Tips

  • The Next step coach says: cut when a third to half of the buds are open. The How to Play guide adds: for drying, cut when only a few flowers on each spike have opened.
  • Plots reserved for an Enterprise harvest order cannot be harvested by hand.
