Overview
Tulips are a fall-planted bulb crop. You plant them from October to November, they need 20 weeks of growth (through the winter), and you cut them the next spring.
The game's note says they require winter chilling before their spring cut window, and it does not use spring planting for them.
Growing it
- Plant between Oct 1–Nov 30, when the soil is 35°F or warmer.
- It needs 20 farm weeks before the first cut, then a harvest window of Apr 15–May 25.
- Needs no support and no pinching.
- At full health a Flower Farm cut gives up to 10 stems.
- As an annual it leaves the bed after its cut.
- Cool tolerant: freezing nights do not kill it.
Tips
- Tulips have the lowest soil temperature need in the catalog (35°F), so cool fall soil does not block them.
- They are an annual: the bed is empty again after the spring cut, ready for a summer crop.
