Lavender Fog Tea Latte
On this page
A London Fog is traditionally Earl Grey, steamed milk and vanilla. Our farm version swaps in lavender tea and a splash of lavender syrup for a cozy, café-style drink you can make in your pajamas.

Why this pairing works
Frothed milk softens lavender tea into something mellow and creamy, while vanilla adds warmth. It is a gentle introduction for anyone who thinks lavender only belongs in soap.
Serves 1 Prep 5 min Cook 5 min
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tsp Lavender Loose Leaf Tea
- 1/2 cup hot water, about 200°F
- 1 Tbsp Lavender Simple Syrup (Classic), or to taste
- 1/2 cup milk or oat milk
- 1 Lavender Honey Sticks (Vanilla), for stirring
Directions
- Steep the tea in the hot water for 5 minutes, then strain into a large mug.
- Stir in the simple syrup.
- Heat the milk until steaming (do not boil), then froth it with a frother or by shaking it in a lidded jar.
- Pour the milk over the tea, holding back the foam with a spoon, then spoon the foam on top.
- Snip the honey stick and stir it in.
Steeping longer than 5 minutes makes lavender tea bitter. For a stronger latte, use more tea rather than more time. Honey isn't safe for babies under 1 year old.
Make it your own
- Iced: steep double-strength tea, cool it and pour over ice with cold milk.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon on top in December.
