Slow Cooker Mulled Lavender Cider

Bonfire season in West Michigan calls for a slow cooker of something warm and spiced. This cider fills the house with the smell of oranges, cinnamon and lavender, and it keeps warm all evening.

Why this pairing works
Maple adds depth that plain sugar can't, and warming spices make lavender taste cozy instead of summery.

Ingredients
- 1 batch Lavender Cider Gourmet Mix, prepared per package directions
- 3 Tbsp Lavender Maple Syrup
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 Lavender Drink Bombs (Spiced Apple Cider), optional, for individual mugs
Directions
- Combine the prepared cider, maple syrup, orange slices, cinnamon sticks and cloves in a slow cooker.
- Cook on LOW for 1 to 2 hours, then switch to WARM.
- Ladle into mugs, leaving the cloves behind.
- For a showstopper single mug, set a Spiced Apple Cider Drink Bomb in the mug and ladle the hot cider over it.
Stick the cloves into an orange slice so they're easy to fish out later.
Serve it with: Lavender Bread Mix (Pumpkin)
