About Arrowwood Farm & Events

Arrowwood Farm sits on Riverside Drive near Melbourne, southwest of London, where Kathy and Phil Moddle grow blueberries and cut flowers and host dinners and events. The farm began moving to organic methods in 2016 and follows regenerative practices: no herbicides or fungicides, natural fertilizers through the leaves and irrigation, and netting over the blueberry field to keep the birds off.

Blueberry season usually starts in the last week of July and runs three to four weeks; in 2026 it opened July 17. You can pick your own or buy ready-picked berries, sold by the pound, with containers supplied. Frozen berries from the previous harvest are sold year-round. In August and September, cut-your-own flower mornings run as drop-ins on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30 to 11:30. A 2026 ticket was $30 per person and includes scissors and a one-litre mason jar to fill with annual blooms; a non-cutting guest is $5 and children under 12 are free.

The farm store sells Kathy's baking, jams and preserves, farm eggs and chicken, and baking can be ordered ahead. The timber-framed Harvest Table Hall, with barn board walls and a fireplace, hosts family-style farm dinners, concerts, weddings and other gatherings; the 2026 Blueberry Festival was held July 25. On select weekdays in berry season there are patio lunches.

R&B Lavender near Mount Brydges is about 10 km north, roughly a 15-minute drive, so a July morning of blueberry picking pairs well with an afternoon among the lavender.
