About Benton-Lane Winery

Benton-Lane Winery sits on a wooded 317-acre estate along Territorial Highway near Monroe, at the southern end of the Willamette Valley. The vineyard is farmed organically and biodynamically across a mix of sedimentary and volcanic soils at several elevations, and the winery concentrates on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The tasting room is bright and looks out over the vines, and the garden patio is shaded by a canopy of trees.

The tasting room is open Friday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm, with Thursday visits by appointment only. The Benton-Lane Experience is a guided, hour-long flight for $20. The Inner Circle Experience ($50) pours current and library vintages with a seasonal snack board in a private room and, depending on the season, may include a winery tour or a walk in the vineyard; it needs at least five days' notice. Reservations are made through their website.

Outside food is not allowed, but locally sourced bites, cheese and charcuterie are sold on site. Kids are welcome, and dogs may join you on the outdoor patio. The sunroom and shaded patio also host the winery's events, which are announced on their website.

Lavender Hill Farm in Pleasant Hill, which opens for an annual July cut-your-own weekend, is the nearest lavender farm in our directory at about 55 minutes away by way of Eugene, so this pairing suits a long summer weekend in Lane and Benton counties.
