About Crossroads Candles Factory Store
Crossroads Candles is a family-owned Bucyrus company started in 2003 by brothers Jason and Justin McMullen, and the factory store on Crossroads Boulevard is now its flagship shop. Every candle is wicked by hand and poured at the company's factory in Bucyrus, and the store has a viewing window where you can watch the pouring as you shop.
Candles and fragrance are the core of the store, along with candle warmers and accessories, but the shelves go well beyond that. Expect resin decor from the company's Blossom Bucket line, greenery, wall art, housewares, lamps and furniture, plus jewelry, women's clothing, handbags, skincare and Ohio State gifts. Staff can set up bridal and gift registries and help with corporate gift orders.
The same family of companies owns Cooper's Mill, a gourmet food line that dates to 1969. Its apple butter is cooked slowly in 50-gallon copper kettles over a wood fire, and its jams are made in small batches without artificial colors, corn syrup or preservatives, which makes a jar an easy gift to bring home. The company also holds an open house with presale tickets; dates and new products are posted on its website and social pages.
The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 6 and closed Sunday, so it works as a weekday or Saturday stop. Pair it with Abundantly Blessed Farm, a small lavender farm in the Bucyrus area that grows more than 500 culinary and hybrid lavenders and sells handmade lavender goods at its farm stand.
