About The Pickwick Place
The Pickwick Place is on North Sandusky Avenue at the north end of Bucyrus, where a multi-generation farm family took over a run-down horse farm, restored three brick barns and planted acres of U-pick fruit, vegetables and flowers. The grounds now hold a market stocked mostly with Ohio-grown produce and Ohio-made groceries, a café, The Stalls with more than 70 vendors on two floors selling handmade, vintage and antique goods, and The Loft, a wedding venue.
The year runs on festivals. In 2026 the Strawberry Jamboree filled two June weekends and the Sunflower Festival two August weekends, while U-pick flowers from a local flower farm run through September. Apples follow in fall, with more than a dozen varieties over the season; in mid-October 2026 the orchard was picking Melrose, Cameo and Galarina. September brings the Apple Bash and Flannel Fest, and the Fall Activity Area is open Saturdays and Sundays through October from 10 to 4, with a new mega slide, an apple cannon, a corn maze, a corn pit, giant swings, a tricycle track and a goat playhouse.
The café serves breakfast from 8 to 11 and lunch from 11 to 3, with salads, sandwiches, bowls, smoothies and baked goods, and The Lunchbox beside the market packs meals to go. Later in the year the farm hosts a craft show in October and Deck the Stalls holiday shopping in November.
For lavender, Abundantly Blessed Farm is a small Bucyrus-area farm growing more than 500 lavenders with self-serve picking in summer, which lines up well with Pickwick's June and August festival weekends.
