About Dunham Cellars

Dunham Cellars is a family-owned winery that has been making wine in Walla Walla for more than 30 years. Its tasting room is on East Boeing Avenue in the Airport District, where tastings are poured indoors in the Hangar Lounge or outside in a courtyard with lawn and paved areas. Its vineyards include Kenny Hill Vineyard and Lewis Estate Vineyard, and the lineup runs from Syrah and Merlot to the Shirley Mays Chardonnay and a red blend called Three Legged Red.

The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations can be booked on their website. A tasting is $20, refunded with a $50 wine purchase. For a closer look at how the wine is made, the Dunham Cellar Tour is a private guided walk through the production area followed by a tasting in the Hangar Lounge, $50 per guest by appointment. The Founders Room Experience goes further, with a personal cellar tour that ends in the Founders Room with top wines and bites, for groups of four to eight at $75 per guest.

Families are welcome as long as children stay with an adult the whole visit. Dogs can join you in the courtyard but are not allowed inside. You may bring outside food, though the winery asks that it not be strongly scented. The tasting areas are wheelchair accessible from reserved parking behind the main building; call ahead so staff can seat you in the best spot. The winery also hosts private events and posts upcoming events on its website.

Blue Mountain Lavender Farm in Lowden is about 30 minutes west, across town on US Highway 12, for a summer pairing of lavender fields and an afternoon tasting.
