About Honey Creek Farm

Honey Creek Farm covers 40 wooded acres on a ridge near Mounds, about 20 minutes south of Tulsa, with a view that stretches nearly 30 miles across the valley to the east. The faith-based farm was founded in 2007 under the motto "For the Love of Lavender" and grows eleven lavender varieties, with two more recently added. Visitors find walking trails through the lavender gardens and woods, a pond, benches along the ridge and a fire pit.

Here the lavender blooms from April until harvest in late June, so spring and early summer are the prime months. Tours run on Wednesdays for $30 and are booked online or by phone. Photographers can reserve an exclusive hour in the lavender for $50, and those slots open as bloom approaches. The farm shop keeps fall hours on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The shop carries health and wellness goods, gift items, culinary lavender and lavender bundles, and the farm's lavender peach jam took second place at the 2019 Porter Peach Festival. For a longer stay there are two post-and-beam cottages with valley views: Serenity, a studio for two at $165 a night, and Star Dust, a two-bedroom for four at $215 a night, each with a cleaning fee and taxes added. Massages can be booked with a stay.

Jenks is about 25 minutes north on the way back toward Tulsa.
