About Kirby's Korner
Kirby's Korner has been making burgers in Seguin since 1993, when Stephen Johnson and Brian Dahl opened it with a plan for quick, friendly service. They named it after Brian's father, Kirby Dahl. A newer generation runs it today, and the place still bills itself as having the best burgers in Texas.
The menu is built around burgers, from the house Kirby Burger to a bacon avocado burger and veggie burgers, with sides like onion rings, cajun fries and funnel fries, plus vanilla shakes and salads. Kids can get chicken tenders. You can eat inside, sit on the large covered patio, use the drive-thru, or call ahead or order online for pickup.
It is on the Highway 123 bypass on the north side of Seguin, an easy stop off I-10. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; it is closed on Sundays, so plan around that on a weekend trip.
Luling Lavender Fields, a family farm with a farm store and you-pick lavender and cut flowers from May, is about 30 minutes east on I-10. Kirby's makes a good lunch stop on the way there or back, as long as it is not a Sunday.
