About The Old Spaghetti Factory
Spokane's Old Spaghetti Factory fills a downtown building that began as a liquor warehouse in 1890 and later stored goods for a large grocer and mail-order house in the early 1900s. A tunnel is said to have once run from its basement to the Davenport Hotel. Inside, the chain's signature look is all here: antique light fixtures, stained glass, big colorful booths and an old trolley car you can eat in.
It is a family-friendly pasta house that works well for a group. The restaurant opens at 4 pm Monday through Wednesday, at 11:30 am Thursday and Friday, and at noon on weekends, staying open until 9 or 9:30 pm. Reservations can be made on their website, and groups of 25 or more should call for weekday large-party bookings. The same number handles catering, and online ordering is available for takeout.
Families can sign kids up for the birthday club, which brings a free kid's meal on the child's birthday. The location is close to the Bing Crosby Theater, the Fox Theater and the Knitting Factory, so it is a natural pre-show dinner stop.
The lavender farms around Spokane are small and keep limited public hours. Abby Normal Farm in Valleyford is about 20 minutes southeast; check with the farm before planning a visit.
