About The High Nooner

The High Nooner opened its first store on West Riverside Avenue in downtown Spokane in August 1992, and it is still locally owned, with its whole team living and working in Spokane. The idea is simple: no sandwich is made until it is ordered, the bread is baked locally, and ingredients come from the area when possible.

Beyond sandwiches, the kitchen makes soups, sides, salads, pastas and desserts in-house each day. Every sandwich comes with a chocolate chip cookie, and there are gluten-free and vegetarian choices. The downtown shop is a weekday lunch spot, open Monday through Friday from late morning into the early afternoon and closed on weekends.

Groups can order catering of any size for pickup, or have the team deliver and set it up; a catering guide was updated in January 2026. Orders can be placed on their website or by phone, and delivery is offered. There is also a second shop in Spokane Valley on North Pines Road.

The lavender farms around Spokane are small, and most sell through their websites rather than keeping regular open hours. Abby Normal Farm in Valleyford is about 20 minutes southeast of downtown; confirm any visit with the farm before you go, and plan a weekday so you can pick up lunch here first.
