About Tilt'n Diner
Tilt'n Diner has been feeding travelers on Laconia Road in Tilton since 1992. It is a classic 1950s-style diner, with blue booths, counter seats and oldies on the sound system, and it sits right on the way north to Lake Winnipesaukee, the speedway in Loudon and the White Mountains. The Associated Press once called it a must-stop on New Hampshire's presidential primary campaign trail.
Breakfast is served all day; the big plate here is the Cadillac. Lunch and dinner lean on New England comfort food such as baked shepherd's pie and White Mountain meatloaf, and there are frappes, flavored Cokes and homemade pies for dessert. It is part of the Common Man family of New Hampshire restaurants.
The diner is open every day from early morning into the evening, which makes it handy for an early start or a late supper. Kids get their own menu along with coloring pages and balloons. You can call ahead for takeout and pick up at the diner, and the Common Man calendar lists cruise nights when classic cars fill the lot.
Lavender Fields at Pumpkin Blossom Farm in Warner is about 35 minutes southwest via I-93 and I-89, so a breakfast stop here can start a summer day of lavender picking, or close it out on your way north to the lakes.
