About Viking House
Viking House is an import shop at 19 North Main Street in downtown Concord. The name points north, and Scandinavia is well represented, but the shelves draw on more than ten European countries: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, England, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, Germany, France and Poland.
Inside you will find clothing and accessories, jewelry, fragrances, stationery, kitchen and home decor, toys, books and games, and a European grocery corner stocked with imported foods. The shop carries Maileg's small fabric mice along with their tiny furniture and outfits, and gives holiday goods their own section, which makes it a good stop for ornaments and stocking stuffers from November on.
There is no online store. Viking House sells only from its Concord shop, so plan to browse in person; if you can't make it, they offer shopping appointments by phone or video call. Upcoming events and a calendar are posted on their website, and they also run a sister store, Nordic Notes & Notions.
Lavender Fields at Pumpkin Blossom Farm in Warner is about 25 minutes northwest of downtown Concord by I-89. Pick lavender on the hill in summer, then come back into the city for a late-afternoon browse along Main Street before the shop closes.
