About Tres Jolie Lavender Farm
Très Jolie Lavender Farm is a small farm in the Sierra foothills south of Grass Valley, run by Christine and Dave. Every lavender cultivar here is grown without pesticides and harvested by hand, and the farm distills its own lavender oil on site.
The farm opens for U-pick during bloom in June and July, by appointment only. Call Farmer Christine to book a time; dates are posted on their website as the bloom season approaches. The farm also has its own Pilates studio, which offers private sessions that start with an assessment and introduction, and it has hosted day retreats in the past; a planned June retreat was cancelled, and there is a waitlist for future dates.
The online shop sells lavender oil from the farm's still, dried lavender buds and lavender skin care, and accepts major credit cards.
Finding the farm takes a little care. From Highway 49, turn east on Combie Road, which becomes Magnolia Road, then take Adamson Drive to Sierra View Drive. Coming from Dog Bar Road, skip Frontier Lane, which does not go through, and use Magnolia Road instead. Grass Valley's wineries and downtown are about 20 minutes north.
