The planting status bar
- Outdoor planting open (🌱) or Outdoor planting paused (⏸️), with a one-line reason, your place and zone.
- Last frost and First frost dates for your location, and the farm calendar (Year · Season · Week).
- Why? opens the full reason.
- Field Almanac opens the almanac.
Why planting can be paused
- The selected cultivar is outside the supported outdoor hardiness range for your zone.
- Current farm weather or soil makes establishment unsafe.
- The farm calendar is outside an outdoor establishment season.
- The location-adjusted window is closed.
- When open, the bar reminds you to confirm workable, freely draining soil in spring, or root-zone drainage and timing before freezes in fall.
The Field Almanac
- Two tabs: Site (Real-World Site Intelligence for your address and soil) and Phenology (Season Crop Windows for your cultivars).
- Before you finish the first objective, these big panels sit openly above the field ("Open Real-World Site Intelligence", "Open Season Crop Windows").
- Afterward they fold into the Almanac; press Escape or Close to return to your plots.
