Overview
You never have to press Save. The game stores your farm in this browser as you play, and the 2D game and the 3D farm share one save. Behind that, it keeps an automatic recovery copy, and it can keep a copy on the farm server too. A backup file that you download is the one copy you control yourself.

Farm slots
Where the game shows Farm slots, there are three. Each slot card shows the farm's name, year and level, with a small picture of its farm map. Save here copies your current farm into the slot. Load swaps that saved farm in. If a slot is damaged, the game says so and does not change your current farm.
Slots live in this browser only, so they are not a substitute for a backup file.
Save & app health (Records)
The Save & app health card at the top of Records shows the size of your current save, whether a recovery copy is available, how full this site's browser storage is, and whether the offline app is ready. Its buttons: Export save now, Verify save, Protect offline storage (asks the browser not to clear the game's storage), Check app update, and Apply update & reload when an update is waiting.

Good habits
- Download a backup after big progress, and before clearing your browser's data.
- Private or incognito windows throw storage away when they close. Play in a normal window.
- Sign in to the store to keep the same farm on your phone and computer.
- The privacy-safe backup leaves out personal notes and your exact location, so it is the one to share if someone helps you.
