One splash and your morning coffee gets a whole lot fancier. The Lavender Blueberry Simple Syrup Kit is a kraft bag of our lavender sugar blend with a fruity, summery blueberry twist. You turn it into syrup on your own stove in about half an hour, most of which is waiting.
Quick answer: Add 1 1/2 cups (12 fl oz) of water, simmer 3 to 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves, cover and steep 20 minutes, then strain. It makes about 1 3/4 cups (14 fl oz). Refrigerate and use within 2 weeks.
Making the syrup
- Pour the kit and 1 1/2 cups of water into a small saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Take it off the heat, cover the pan and let it steep for 20 minutes.
- Strain through a fine sieve into a clean jar or bottle.
- Cool, cap and refrigerate.

Where to pour it
- Lemonade and iced tea: a spoonful or two per glass adds berry sweetness. Try the Half & Half Lavender Porch Pitcher.
- Lattes: stir into hot or iced coffee drinks, like our Honey Lavender Iced Latte.
- Sparkling water: an easy homemade berry soda.
- Breakfast and dessert: drizzle over pancakes, waffles or vanilla ice cream. It is lovely on Blueberry Lavender Waffles.
- Cocktails: use it in place of plain simple syrup in drinks for the 21+ crowd.
Start with about a tablespoon per drink and add more to taste.
Storing the kit and the syrup
Keep the unopened kit in a cool, dry cupboard. Once made, store the syrup in a clean, sealed jar in the refrigerator and use it within 2 weeks. If it ever looks cloudy or smells off, toss it. Check the package for ingredients and allergen information.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make a thicker syrup?
Follow the kit amounts for the best results. Simmering longer reduces the syrup but can also cook off some of the fresh flavor.
Does it make a good gift?
Yes. It is a fun, hands-on gift for coffee and cocktail lovers. Add it to a box in the Gift Box Builder.
