None of us can earn our way to God by being good enough. We all need mercy.

Pulaski is a small Polish-heritage village in the farm country northwest of Green Bay, about 20 minutes from the city and the bay itself. The land between them is flat dairy and berry country cut by the Mountain-Bay State Trail, an old rail line that runs 83 miles west from Howard toward Wausau. Brown County keeps a string of large, mostly free parks within a short drive: a 1,400-acre forest camp with fishing ponds, a waterfowl preserve on the bay and a limestone glen with a waterfall.
Pristine Lavender is Mark and Jean Jarosinski's small farm on County Road B just east of Pulaski, chosen because lavender holds up to the deer and rabbits. It makes bath and aromatherapy goods with few additives and opens its field for scheduled events, such as two-hour painting classes under a tent among the rows, rather than for drop-in visits. Plan a summer trip around one of those events and the area's strawberry season, or come in fall for pumpkins and corn mazes.
Open on scheduled u-pick days (July 10-12, 18-19 and 24-25, 2026) and for watercolor painting sessions in late June and July; no regular hours.
June and early July are strawberry season: BerryLand in Abrams picks from June into July, Sunny Hill Farm north of Green Bay from mid-June to mid-July, and Moders Gardens in Howard usually opens for berries in June and runs through October. Pristine Lavender holds its painting classes and other events in the field during the growing season; check its events page for dates, since it does not post open hours or bloom dates. In October it donates $2 from each Breast Cancer Awareness item sold. From September through October, BerryLand runs its pumpkin season daily from 9 to 5:30, and Porter's Patch near Bonduel holds Farmtoberfest on Fridays through Sundays to October 31 (2026). The Green Bay Botanical Garden's Garden of Lights runs on select nights in November and December, and Barkhausen's trails are groomed for cross-country skiing in winter.
