About Chain O' Lakes Campground

Chain O' Lakes Campground is a family-owned and family-run campground on M-88 near Bellaire, in the middle of the Chain of Lakes country of Antrim County. It opened for the 2026 season on May 1.

It is set up well for big rigs. Full hook-up sites with water, sewer and 30/50-amp power come as deep concrete back-ins or gravel pull-throughs, with 30-amp gravel sites and water-and-electric sites as well. Tent sites share electric and water access and are for tents only. Every site has a picnic table and fire ring. Nine cabins range from rustic to full-service, and there is a pool deck for warm afternoons.

Rules are clear and family-friendly: check-in is at 2 p.m. at the office and store, check-out at noon, quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., and no music after 10. Base rates cover two adults and two children, and a seventh night is free when you pay for six. The first boat or trailer parks free, which helps anglers heading to the lakes.

Lavender Hill Farm near Boyne City is about 45 minutes north, a good day trip from camp for lavender in summer or the farm's boutique and tasting room into the fall.
