About Ferguson's Orchards – Minnesota Harvest
Minnesota Harvest has long been a fall outing for families southwest of the Twin Cities. In 2022 the Ferguson family bought it and added their pumpkin patch and a hard cider bar. Their business grew from an orchard in Galesville, Wisconsin, first planted in the 1870s, and brothers Andy and Joe Ferguson run it today, with Andy's wife, Ashley, managing the stores.
The 2026 season runs from August 15 to November 1. An admission ticket gets you into the pick-your-own orchard, with a wagon ride out to the trees, and to the pumpkin patch, where you pick from the vine. By mid-October 2026 the trees had been picked clean, but First Kiss, Honeycrisp, SweeTango, Pazazz and Sweet 16 were sold bagged in the store. Pazazz, a Honeycrisp cross, is one you won't see at every orchard.
Activities include a giant corn maze, a corn pit, gem mining, duck races, pedal carts, apple cannons, giant spinning apples, a hay pyramid and a playground. The Country Store, bakery, Harvest Bistro and cider bar need no ticket, so you can stop for cider donuts, caramel apples, local jams and syrups without paying to enter. Lunch, such as pulled pork, hot dogs and grilled cheese, is served on weekends only. Each admission includes a season pass for the rest of the fall, and birthday parties and field trips can be booked.
Morning Glory Valley, a lavender farm north of Jordan, is about 7 miles northeast, roughly a 12-minute drive.
