About Firestone Vineyard
Firestone Vineyard opened in 1972 as the first estate winery in Santa Barbara County. Leonard Firestone, son of tire maker Harvey Firestone, founded it with his son Brooks. Today the winery is part of Foley Family Wines and farms 325 acres of certified sustainable vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley, with its tasting room on Zaca Station Road just outside Los Olivos.
The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with tastings at the bar on a first-come basis and walk-ins taken as space allows. The 2026 tasting fee is $25, and you choose between a five-wine estate flight and the Chairman's Vertical Flight, which sets different vintages of Fumé Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and the Lineage blend side by side. Groups larger than eight should email the concierge ahead.
For a deeper look, the Estate Tour and Tasting runs daily at 10:30 a.m. by reservation for 2 to 12 guests, at $75 per person ($60 for members). It moves through the lower terrace, the history and library rooms and the barrel room, then ends in the wine club lounge. Guests on the tour must be 21 or older, and dogs are not permitted. On summer Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m., local bands play in the courtyard or barrel room, with seating first come, first served.
Clairmont Farms, a Los Olivos lavender farm growing lavender since 1998, is a short drive away, about 10 minutes, so its farm shop and the Firestone tasting room sit easily in the same afternoon.
