About Georgetown Vineyards

Georgetown Vineyards sits high on a ridge overlooking Cambridge, and the view across the vineyard and the city from the balcony is a big part of the draw. The family-owned winery dates to the late 1990s and makes its wine on site. Its everyday list leans on American grapes and fruit: Concord, Niagara, Fredonia, rhubarb, red raspberry and cranberry. The premium J. Nico label adds Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.

The tavern is open every day from 11 a.m. and runs as a casual restaurant as much as a winery. Pizzas are hand-tossed and baked in a brick oven, and the menu also has salads, nachos and appetizers. Along with wine by the glass or bottle there is craft beer and wine slushies. There are no formal tastings, but if you are deciding on a glass or bottle you can ask for a small sample for 25 cents.

Seating is first come, first served. Children are welcome, and leashed dogs can join you on the outdoor patio, where staff bring water bowls and pup cups. Two short hiking trails cross the property, with maps at the bar. County tourism articles from 2025 and 2026 mention live music and yoga. The property also offers tent camping, RV stays and EV charging; ask the staff for details.

The Farm on Bear Lane near Cumberland, the nearest lavender listing, is about half an hour south; check its website for visitor details before planning around it.
