About Nothing But Chocolate
Nothing But Chocolate is a small, locally owned chocolate shop on Southgate Parkway in Cambridge. Owner Amanda Cox, who signs herself "Chief Chocoholic," grew up making chocolates by hand with her family at the holidays, and that habit turned into the business. Everything is made in small batches, and the shop puts real care into how each box is packed and presented, which is why people come here for gifts.
The counter covers the classics of an Ohio candy shop: truffles, chocolate-covered pretzels, peanut clusters, peanut butter cups, chocolate-covered sandwich cookies and buckeyes, the peanut butter and chocolate candy the state is known for. There is also a line of candy that is not chocolate at all, and sampler baskets for giving.
Holidays are the busiest time, with a Christmas collection each year, and the shop has held a Christmas in July sale in summer. Schools and clubs can raise money through its fudge fundraisers. Their online store pauses each summer, so in those months the only way to buy is in person at the shop. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 to 5 and Saturday from 10 to 4.
Pick up a box for the road before heading toward Cumberland, about 20 minutes southwest, where The Farm on Bear Lane is listed as a lavender grower. Its visitor details are not confirmed, so check its website before planning a visit.
