About Onederings Lavender Farm

Onederings is run by sisters Amy and Kim, both chemical engineers who spent their careers in product research and development before turning to lavender. Their five acres of lavender sit inside the family's 90-acre Trillium Hills Tree Farm, land the family has owned since 1983, between Cincinnati and Columbus. Amy, who has more than 20 years of formulation experience, made the farm's first lotion, and friends kept asking for more. Visitors can walk the fields, watch butterflies along the creek and sit in Adirondack chairs.

The season runs from late May through mid-July; in 2026 the farm opened May 23 and kept in-season hours Thursday through Saturday, 10 AM to 2 PM. Entry is free. U-pick is self-serve with help: you collect scissors and a basket at the farmhouse, a staff member walks you out and shows you how to cut, and your bundle is banded and sleeved when you bring it back in. After harvest the farm keeps limited hours, Saturdays 11:30 AM to 3 PM this fall.

Small workshops fill the calendar. From May to July there are herbal tea blending, lavender mocktail making, flower pressing and Pastry & Tea for Two sessions, and in fall and winter Tea with Sisters meets on the second Saturday of the month for $12, limited to eight guests. The shop carries hand and body lotion, night cream, bar soap, linen spray, dried English lavender bouquets and gift baskets. Garden clubs, scouts and 4-H groups are welcome, senior groups by appointment Monday to Wednesday, and photographers and painters may come at no charge outside u-pick.

Irons Fruit Farm in Lebanon, about 25 minutes southwest, adds berry and apple picking to a summer or fall day.
