About White Barn & Blooms Lavender Farm
White Barn & Blooms is a family-owned, 50-acre working lavender farm on Cincinnati Brookville Road in Ross Township, about 20 minutes from Cincinnati. Neighbors and local families helped plant the first fields, and the farm now grows about 20,000 lavender plants and keeps eight honey bee hives. It describes itself as Ohio's largest lavender-producing farm. A white event barn on the property seats up to 200 for weddings and parties year-round.
Visits are by appointment, and public open days are set each summer; u-pick opening dates go first to the farm's email list. The lavender usually peaks from late June through July, with a shorter bloom in September and October, and the farm posts bloom updates on its website. In July 2026 it held its first annual Lavender Bloom Festival, with u-pick lavender, food trucks, vendors and activities for families.
The farm boutique sells lavender goods made locally: essential oils, spa and body care, culinary blends, home goods and gift sets. Guided group tours, seasonal workshops and wellness sessions such as yoga are listed as coming soon. Pets aren't permitted, except service animals, to protect the plants and bees. You can bring your own food, and curated picnic baskets are offered, but outside alcohol isn't allowed during public hours. Casual photos are welcome from the paths; professional shoots need approval and cost $100 an hour on select dates.
Burwinkel Farms, about 5 minutes away near Ross, adds apples, sweet corn and a fall corn maze to a visit.
