About Brown's Family Farm Market
Brown's Family Farm Market sits on Hamilton-Cleves Road southwest of Hamilton and has been family owned and run for more than 31 years; the original market stand dates to 1990. Through the summer the market sells homegrown tomatoes, strawberries, lettuce, cucumbers and zucchini, bi-color and white sweet corn from Amish neighbors, and locally raised freezer beef and pork, along with Amish baked goods and fried pies.
Fall is the big season. In 2026 Fall Family Fun Weekends run Saturdays and Sundays from mid-September through October, 10 to 6, and Friday Family Fun Nights start October 2 from 4 to 7. Admission and parking are free, and so are the corn maze, straw maze, sunflower walk, climb-on combine playscape, slide tower, play village, tractors and farm animals. Hayrides cost $6 for ages 3 and up; two of the routes stop at a 5-acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch, and pumpkins are 49 cents a pound, weighed inside the market. A barrel train runs all day for $3 a ride.
Food trucks change from weekend to weekend, and pony rides from an outside vendor visit on some October weekends. The market itself stays open daily from 9 to 7 in fall even when rain closes the outdoor activities.
White Barn & Blooms Lavender Farm in Ross Township is about 15 minutes north. Its 20,000-plus lavender plants and July festival make it a summer trip, while Brown's is at its best on a fall weekend; summer sweet corn and berries are the overlap.
