About Hidden Valley Orchards
Hidden Valley Orchards is on State Route 48 in Clearcreek Township, about 10 minutes north of Lebanon. County records show farming here by 1870, and the Rothman family opened the first farm market in 1956 with 15 acres of peaches and 10 of apples. The Ullrich family took over in 1974 and started apple U-pick in 1982, and the Lane family has run the farm since 2017, adding more than 4,000 apple trees in 2025 along with a corn maze, sunflower field and play yard.
Fall is the main season. In 2026 the farm is open Thursday through Sunday in September and adds Wednesdays from September 30 to November 1. Entry to the farm and parking are free. The Apple Play Yard has more than 30 attractions, including jump pillows, apple cannons, a hay chute slide, mini golf, a corn maze and a petting zoo; a wristband is $10 when the Red Apple area is open and $16 when both areas are open, and children under 2 are free. U-pick pumpkins are in the patch, and other U-pick crops rotate, with readiness posted daily on their website.
The Donut Barn, opened in 2009, turns out cider donuts and pastries, and in the cidery you can watch apples pressed into cider. The Orchard Kitchen serves meals on weekends, and Thursdays bring oven-baked farm pizza. Late-October 2026 events include a Friday night pig roast, a Halloween scavenger hunt and Pumpkin Destruction Day on November 1, and campfires and field trips can be booked.
Sunshine Acres Lavender Farm near Morrow is about 20 minutes south. Its U-pick field is closed for now, so check its website for shop and event days.
