About Whispering Lavender Farm
Whispering Lavender Farm is a six-acre farm on Leland Road in Oregon City. It was first planned as a wedding venue and grew instead into a working lavender and cut-flower farm. Lavender comes first in the year, and summer flowers follow.
Lavender season is short here, running late June to early July, and that is when U-pick opens in the rows. After the harvest closes, dried lavender stays available at the farm. From mid-July into October a self-serve roadside flower cart sells fresh bouquets Thursday through Sunday, 10 AM to 7 PM, and takes cash, cards and mobile payments.
The farm store, Mother Bird Market, opens Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, with weekday visits by appointment. Alongside dried lavender it stocks candles, soap and bath products, skin care, and home and pantry goods, including the farm's tallow and lavender salve, oatmeal soap and lavender sugar scrub. In November and December it turns into a holiday market.
The farm is in the countryside south of Oregon City, close enough to Portland for an easy morning trip in lavender season.
