About Barnagh Barns
Barnagh Barns is a converted Manx barn on Barnagh Farm, set high above Kirk Michael on the island's west side. It sits at the end of a quiet farm lane about 600 yards long, and from that raised spot the views run all the way around, across farmland to the coast. It carries a four-star gold grading from Visit Isle of Man.
Inside it sleeps four in two bedrooms with super king beds that can be split into twins, plus a walk-in shower. The open-plan living and dining room centers on a wood-burning stove, with underfloor heating throughout, and there is outdoor seating and off-road parking. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor, while the living area is up a flight of stairs.
Kirk Michael village is within walking distance, with a pub, shop, post office, chemist, tea rooms and butcher, and a long sandy beach is about a mile away. The hills, glens and plantations around it suit walking, cycling and stargazing, and a bus stop sits at the end of the lane. The barn is right by the TT Course at Rhen Cullen, so expect race weeks for the TT and Manx Grand Prix to book early.
Manx Lavender at Sandygate, in the north of the island, is about 20 minutes' drive northeast, an easy outing on one of its summer open days.
