About Baron Hills Lavender Farm

Baron Hills Lavender Farm is a young farm on Lilly Road outside Honey Brook, in the Amish farm country where Chester and Lancaster counties meet. The land used to be a Christmas tree farm, and rows of the old pines still stand between the middle and lower fields. The owners bought the property in 2022, cleared the brush and set out their first 200 lavender plants that spring, then added about 600 more and a gazebo in 2023. Today the farm counts more than a thousand plants of four varieties on a little over four acres.

The fields are at their most colorful and fragrant in June and July, which the farm calls its most important months. Viewing the field is free. It is a working farm with uneven ground, so the farm suggests good walking shoes, water and sunscreen. Camping chairs, a blanket and a picnic lunch are welcome, the farm sits on a paved road, and there is parking on site. Set opening days are not posted, so check their website or send a message before you drive out.

Everything in the shop starts in these rows. The family harvests and dries its own bundles, sells loose dried buds, distills its own lavender oil and pours lavender soy candles. Bath steamers, bath bombs, soap bars and braided lavender table toppers round out the line, and all of it can be ordered from their website. In summer 2026 the farm also set up a tent at the Parkesburg 250 carnival on July 4 and 5, so watch their events page for similar market days.

Lancaster County's Route 23 corridor is close by. Shady Maple in East Earl is about 20 minutes west, a handy meal stop on the way into Lancaster County.
