About Dienner's Country Restaurant

Dienner's Country Restaurant is a small, family-run buffet on Lincoln Highway East (Route 30) in Ronks, east of Lancaster. The Dienner family grew up Amish and opened the restaurant in 1993 to share the cooking they had always done at home. They keep the place deliberately small so the kitchen can cook in small batches.

The day starts with a breakfast buffet at 7 AM, with cooked oatmeal, sausage gravy and scrapple alongside a made-to-order menu. The lunch buffet runs 11 AM to 3 PM Monday through Saturday, and dinner follows until 6 PM (7 PM on Fridays). Mainstays are rotisserie chicken, beef and gravy, ham, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, bread filling, stewed tomatoes and sweet potatoes, plus a soup and salad bar, homemade pies and soft-serve ice cream. Each weekday has its own special: meatloaf on Monday, hamloaf on Tuesday, pork and sauerkraut on Wednesday, chicken pot pie on Thursday, and fried fish and shrimp at Friday and Saturday dinner.

Buffet prices posted in October 2026 were $13.50 for the adult breakfast and $17.65 for weekday lunch, up to $20.30 for Friday and Saturday dinner; drinks are extra. Children 3 to 11 pay by age, and kids 2 and under eat free with a paying adult. The buffet has no take-out or doggie bags. Groups can reserve through the restaurant's groups page, and the restaurant is closed on Sundays.

Baron Hills Lavender Farm in Honey Brook is about 13 miles to the east. Fill up on an early breakfast here, then head out through farm country to see the lavender farm's candles, soaps and dried bouquets made from its own plants.
