About Buzzards Bay Brewing

Buzzards Bay Brewing brews on a working farm on Horseneck Road in Westport, the same farm it shares with the Westport Rivers winery. The brewery uses its own farm's wheat and leans on American-grown malt, yeast and hops, some of it malted in Massachusetts and grown in Northfield. The taps cover ales, sours and lagers, from an unfiltered golden ale and a kölsch brewed with the Buzzards Bay Coalition to IPAs, a red IPA and a barleywine. Wine is poured too.

The taproom opens Thursday through Sunday, and the Brewers Garden and lawns are open year-round. Friday evenings bring an open mic jam, and Saturdays have concerts at 5. From September 5 through November 1, 2026, a 7-acre corn maze is cut into the farm's cornfield on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This year's theme is a movie-scene game, and an easy outer path lets you walk the field without solving the maze. Tickets are sold at the brewery.

This is a rare brewery that welcomes all ages, as long as children stay with a parent or guardian. Leashed dogs are welcome, but from November to April, when food is served indoors at the Kettle, dogs stay outside. The taproom can also be rented for private parties.

Lavender Waves Farm in Wakefield, Rhode Island, is about 50 minutes southwest. It holds ticketed cut-your-own lavender days, so check its dates and plan the taproom for the afternoon.
