About Callestick Farm

Callestick Farm is a working dairy farm a few miles inland from Perranporth on Cornwall's north coast. The Parker family started making ice cream here in 1989 with milk from their own grass-fed herd, which now runs to more than 380 cows that graze the surrounding fields and walk in once a day for milking. The range covers more than 30 ice creams and sorbets, and the mango sorbet is made with water from the farm's own spring.

Visitors come for the Callestick Ice Cream Parlour, set in the farm courtyard where the old tea room used to be. It is open every day from 10:30am to 5pm and serves scoops, milkshakes, hot waffles, cookie dough desserts and homemade cakes, with vegan ice creams and spring-water sorbets always in the cabinet. Flavors rotate through the year; recent ones include cinnamon bun, peach melba and toffee popcorn, and the cinnamon bun took a silver at the Great British Food Awards in 2026.

Because this is a working farm, there are no tours, and the factory viewing gallery was taken out during a recent expansion, so plan on an unhurried ice cream stop rather than a farm walk. Well-behaved dogs on leads can join you in the courtyard and car park area, though not inside the parlour. Cyclists have a bike park in the top car park, and schools or nurseries bringing 15 or more children can pre-book a group discount by email.

Cornish Lavender, near St Agnes, is roughly 10 minutes away by road. In summer you can walk the lavender fields in the morning (their peak bloom is usually mid-June to mid-July) and finish with a cone at Callestick in the afternoon.

What to do

  • Take home homemade cakes (2026: £3.75 each or four for £13.50)
  • Try a vegan ice cream or a sorbet made with the farm's spring water
  • Sit out in the courtyard with your dog on a lead
