About Charlie's Country Corner
Charlie's Country Corner is a travel center just off I-75 at exit 251 in Grayling, spread over about 35 acres. It is owned by C.F. Fick & Sons, a family fuel and propane company that has been heating northern Michigan since 1958 and runs several stores around Grayling.
It is a practical stop, not a destination, and it does that job well for road-trippers and anyone towing a camper. Inside are a convenience store, hot food, a deli and a fast-food counter, and the coffee pots go through about 500 cups a day. Outside there is 24-hour diesel, recreational fuel, bulk DEF and metered propane, which matters if you are refilling an RV tank on the way to a campground.
Truck and RV parking, showers, laundry, an ATM and WiFi are on site, and a diesel repair garage next door handles RV work. Travelers with dogs can use the dog run beside the motel on the property, open from spring, once the snow melts, until the snow sticks in fall; follow the posted rules and clean up after your dog.
Uncommon Ranch is about 20 minutes away on the east side of Grayling. Uncommon Ranch's 2026 summer open days ran Wednesday to Saturday, 10 to 4, through August 8, with pick-your-own lavender; its lodging is open all year. Fill the tank and stretch the dog's legs here on the way in or out.
