About Cidrerie Verger Bilodeau et Distillerie
Cidrerie Verger Bilodeau describes itself as the first cidery on Île d'Orléans, and three generations of the family have worked the orchard in Saint-Pierre. Besides apples and juice, they make ciders, ice ciders, mistelles, sparkling wines and spirits, plus apple butter, maple products and gift sets.
The orchard calendar is the reason to come. In late May and early June the trees bloom, and you can walk or picnic among them. From late June to mid-October you can pet the animals at the mini farm. In 2026 apple picking ran from August 29 to Thanksgiving Monday, October 12, daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no reservation. Payment in the orchard is cash only, and reusable picking bags cost $2.
The renovated shop offers tastings of products made from apples and maple. On weekends during picking season the crêpe counter serves crêpes with apple butter, maple caramel or maple butter. Shop hours run 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from June to mid-October, 10 to 5 from mid-October to December, and shorter in January and February. Guided tours and daycare groups can be booked through their website. Pets are not allowed in the orchard.
La Seigneurie de l'Île d'Orléans is at the island's east end, about 30 minutes along chemin Royal, so a lavender visit there pairs with a summer stop here.
