About Crazy Legs Farm & Pumpkins
Crazy Legs Farm spends its autumns as a pumpkin patch on Biscayne Avenue, just east of Farmington. Alongside the pumpkins, the family plants a sunflower field, cuts a corn maze and tends a two-acre vineyard of cold-hardy Frontenac Gris, Sabrevois and Marquette grapes. They don't make wine; the grapes go to local wineries and home winemakers.
A self-serve roadside stand is open daily from 9am to 7pm. Farm activities run on weekends from September 12 to October 31 in 2026, 10am to 6pm, plus two extra weekdays on October 15 and 16. The sunflower field is open on weekends from September 12 through October 11. In early September the grapes are harvested over three weekends, one variety at a time, and the farm invites volunteers to help pick, with lunch on the farm for the crew.
Entry and parking are free, and so is the hayride out to the patch, where pumpkins are $5 each (2026). The corn maze is $7 per person, the sunflower field $5, or $10 for both; children 2 and under are free. Younger kids can try the bounce houses and barrel train for $3 a turn, while the straw mountain, slides, corn pit and yard games cost nothing. The pumpkin cannon fires at 1pm and 4pm, and food trucks and vendors set up on site.
Lavender Barnyard is about 5 miles west, roughly a 10-minute drive, and Brand Farms' apple orchard is half a mile up the same road.
