About Glendarragh Farm Lavender

Glendarragh Farm Lavender grows English and Dutch lavender on a New England farm more than 200 years old, beside the St. George River in Appleton. Besides lavender there are other fragrant perennials, and the riverside woods are open for a walk when you visit.

The farm is seasonal. Open farm days start July 1 and run daily through the month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., when the fields are in bloom from late June through July. You can cut a bunch of lavender to hang and dry at home, spread a picnic blanket in the unmowed fields, and bring a friendly dog on a leash.

July evenings bring an outdoor concert series. In 2026 it included Alice Limoges on July 15, The Hot Suppers on July 18, Midnight Breakfast with MKtrio on July 22 and Chicky Stoltz on July 29, each with a food truck serving Puerto Rican and Paraguayan family recipes and a stand with mocktails and smoothies. Tickets are sold through their website, and guests bring chairs and blankets.

If you miss the bloom, the shop at 22 Main Street in Camden is open year-round. It stocks the farm's natural lotions, soaps, salves, body butter and lip balm, essential and massage oils, culinary lavender, tea, room and linen spray, laundry detergent and soy candles.

Sweetgrass Farm Winery in Union is about 15 minutes south.
