About Lake Pemaquid Campground
Lake Pemaquid Campground stretches along the shore of 7-mile Lake Pemaquid in Damariscotta, a short drive from the Midcoast harbors. It has more than 200 campsites for RVs, trailers and tents, along with cabins and cottages for rent, and its own marina with a launch and boat slips.
The lake is the main draw. The marina rents power boats, rowboats, canoes and kayaks, and by boat you can reach Biscay Pond, Duck Puddle Stream and the Pemaquid River, more than 15 miles of water in all. Anglers fish for pickerel, perch, brown trout and bass. Lakeside and waterfront sites book Saturday to Saturday in July and August, while off-season rates apply from Memorial Day to June 21 and from Labor Day to September 30.
On land there is a swimming pool with hot tubs and a sauna, a snack bar with a long menu, a general store, mini golf and a calendar of scheduled events and entertainment. Campsite check-in is at 1 p.m.; cabins and cottages check in at 3 p.m. Visitors must preregister, pay $7 for the day or $15 overnight, and can't bring pets, and they are not allowed on Saturdays or on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day weekends. Jet skis, jet boats, wave runners and ATVs are not allowed.
SeaLyon Farm in Alna is about 25 minutes north; check the farm's website for when it welcomes visitors.
