About Made In Washington (Bellevue Square)

The Bellevue Square shop is the Eastside branch of Made In Washington, a company that has gathered gifts and foods made around the state since 1984. It sits inside the Bellevue Square shopping center, and unlike the company's Pike Place Market store, it stays open into the evening.

Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., so it works well as an end-of-day stop after a farm trip east of Lake Washington. The shelves hold the company's mix of local goods: blown-glass ornaments and paperweights, smoked salmon, cherry chocolates, Northwest coffee, Aplets & Cotlets, Almond Roca, wool blankets, candles, apparel and regional books. Each year the company offers a limited-edition holiday ornament.

If you are visiting from out of state, the company can ship your purchases; weekday online orders in by 1 p.m. leave the same day, and the customer service line is staffed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific time.

Woodinville Lavender, a lavender farm and garden in Woodinville wine country that mainly hosts weddings and private events, is about 20 minutes north. In summer you can also head south about 30 minutes to Synnove Lavender Farm in Kent, which opens for U-pick on set summer days, and finish the day shopping for Washington-made gifts here.

  • Pick out blown-glass ornaments and paperweights
