About Victrola Coffee Roasters (Pike St Cafe & Roastery)
Victrola Coffee Roasters has been sourcing, roasting and serving coffee in Seattle since 2000. Its showcase is the Pike St Cafe & Roastery on Capitol Hill, a bright, light-filled café set in a classic 1920s building from the neighborhood's old auto row, where the coffee is roasted under the same roof.
The Pike Street café is open every day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. On select Fridays at 11 a.m., a member of the Victrola team leads a free public coffee cupping, which the company describes as part ritual and part mini class. It is a chance to taste and compare coffees alongside the people who roast them. You can also place pickup orders online before you arrive.
Victrola runs seven cafés around Seattle, including a second Capitol Hill café on 15th Avenue and cafés on Beacon Hill, downtown and in Ballard; the 15th Avenue and Ballard cafés have community rooms that groups can reserve online. Beyond drinks, Victrola sells single-origin coffees and blends, bulk coffee, brewing equipment, mugs and tumblers, and coffee subscriptions, so it is easy to leave with a bag of beans for the road.
Woodinville Lavender, a lavender farm and garden in Woodinville wine country used mainly for weddings and private events, is about 30 minutes northeast across Lake Washington.
