About Made In Washington (Pike Place Market)

Made In Washington has been selling gifts and foods made in the state since 1984, and its Seattle shop is on Post Alley inside Pike Place Market. Everything on the shelves is chosen to be locally made or locally inspired, which makes it a one-stop place to find something from Washington to take home without hunting across the whole market.

The range is wide. There is blown glass from a Washington glass studio, including ornaments and paperweights, smoked salmon from an Anacortes smokehouse, cherry chocolates, coffee from Northwest roasters, the fruit-and-nut candy called Aplets & Cotlets, Almond Roca, wool blankets from a Northwest mill, and candles, apparel and books. Each year the shop offers a limited-edition holiday ornament, and it stocks a Pike Place Market calendar.

The Pike Place store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you would rather not carry gifts on the plane, the company ships; orders placed online by 1 p.m. on a weekday go out the same day. A second shop is in Bellevue Square on the Eastside.

From downtown, Woodinville Lavender, a lavender farm and garden mainly used for weddings and events, is about 35 minutes northeast, while Synnove Lavender Farm in Kent, which offers U-pick lavender on its summer open days, is about 35 minutes south.
