About White Diamond Lavender Farms

White Diamond Lavender Farms is a family farm just outside Hope, in Bartholomew County, run by Melinda and Steve. It began in 2016 with a trial of 100 lavender plants and now has more than 1,000 on ten acres, including Munstead, Hidcote, Folgate, Royal Velvet and Phenomenal. The 7,800-square-foot climate-controlled barn was first framed by Amish builders to raise shrimp indoors; when that didn't work out, the family turned it into a venue. Its front porch came from a 200-year-old barn in Vallonia, and the old shrimp nurseries now serve as buffet tables.

The farm doesn't keep regular public hours. You can book a tour of the property through their website or by phone, and the farm opens for ticketed events. The big one is Lavender Daze, held in June: in 2026 it ran June 19 from 4 to 8 PM and June 20 from 10 AM to 4 PM, with vendors, a lavender boutique, live music, food trucks and bouquet picking. Tickets were $5, children 12 and under got in free, and pets had to stay home.

On three June evenings in 2026 the farm also held Lavender Sunset Picnics on the lawn, with a basket of charcuterie, lavender shortbread and a lavender bundle, priced at $60 for two. Christmas on the Farm comes in November, and the barn hosts concerts, lawn yoga, barn dances and weddings. The farm store sells lavender teas such as Lavender Earl Grey and Lavender Apple Spice, lemon lavender scones, lotion, linen spray, essential oil, candles and neck and eye pillows.

Swiss Maid Country Market in Hope is about 10 minutes away for baked goods, and Columbus is about 20 minutes south.
