About Armand's Harper Valley Farms
Armand's Harper Valley Farms is Albert and Diane Armand's working farm on County Road 600 West near Westport, in Decatur County. For years the family sold fruit and vegetables off the back porch. The farm now raises pork and sells feed and seed, and each fall it opens 8 acres of pumpkins for visitors to wander through and pick.
The patch opened September 19 in 2025 and ran through October 31. Hours were 1 to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. Pumpkins cut in the field were $4 each that season, and carts are on hand for hauling them to the car. A sunflower maze and plenty of farm photo spots round out the visit.
Back at the sales shed you'll find pre-picked pumpkins, squash and gourds, along with mini gourds, Indian corn, straw bales and corn stalks for porch decorating. The family also sells honey and frozen pork. The family plants around 1,900 garden mums for the season; in 2025 the 9-inch pots sold for $8 each or three for $22 while they lasted. The farm's fall festival in 2025 ran October 10 and 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with food brought by the ladies of Union Flat Rock Baptist Church.
White Diamond Lavender Farms near Hope is roughly a 30-minute drive north on county roads, so a fall weekend can pair a pumpkin run here with a stop at that farm's barn and lavender events when they are open.
