About Cornucopia Farm
Cornucopia Farm is the Baird family's fall farm off State Road 56, about nine miles west of Scottsburg and ten miles east of Salem. Each October the fields turn into a full day out: a six-acre corn maze with 12 signs to find, a three-acre soybean maze with a puzzle, and a pumpkin patch you reach by tractor-drawn wagon.
October hours are Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm, and Sunday from 1 to 7 pm. Admission includes the wagon ride, the mazes and the play areas; pumpkins are sold by the pound. The farm also grows about two acres of sunflowers and two acres of California Giant zinnias for photos and cutting, with dates announced each year.
Kids can feed goats, calves, pigs and sheep at the petting farm, climb the straw house and tire mountain, ride the 80-foot hillside slide, and play pumpkin mini golf, barnyard basketball and rubber duck races. The cow train and corn cannon take tokens. The Cornucopia Café serves burgers and sweet treats with a full menu on weekends, and the farm market sells pumpkins, gourds, local honey and fall decor. October 2026 includes a Family Tractor Weekend with real farm machines and a scavenger hunt.
Sadona Farms, the lavender grower on Scottsburg's south side, is about 25 minutes east, so the two make an easy Scott County pairing.
