About Chillers
Chillers is a southern Indiana ice cream shop with a family story that goes back to 1966, when Don and Dottie Rosenbarger bought a struggling ice cream stand in New Albany and turned it into a hometown favorite. Their daughter Lisa took over in 1999, and the first Chillers opened in Sellersburg in 2008. The Scottsburg shop on West McClain Avenue is one of several locations across the region today.
The menu centers on hand-dipped cones, sundaes and shakes, with seasonal specials such as a strawberry shortcake sundae. You can order at the counter or set up a pick-up or delivery order ahead of time through their website, which helps on busy summer evenings. The shop keeps long hours all year, opening at 10:30 in the morning and staying open until 9 pm most nights and 9:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
